Prime Minister Invites Top Global Entrepreneurs to Join “StartUp Games” in Tech City London, Summer 2012

London, 9 January 2012 Prime Minister David Cameron today extended an invitation to the world’s most outstanding startups to join the StartUp Games, a unique event to be held in London’s Tech City during the 2012 Paralympics, with participants and winners visiting the Olympic Park.

Organised by a partnership of the Olympic Park Legacy Company and Tech City Investment Organisation, with the close support of StartUp Britain, the StartUp Games will provide an opportunity for the best entrepreneurs from the UK and around the world to present their business to an international panel of judges and investors and compete to be recognised as some of the world’s highest potential startups.

A call for applications will be issued in March 2012 and the competition will take place in Tech City, Europe’s fastest growing tech and digital cluster in September 2012. The finals will be held at a location overlooking the park during the Paralympics.
