Labour leadership contender, Yvette Cooper MP visited Tech City UK today to discuss barriers to success and opportunities for growth with digital businesses from our home at Runway East.
Drawing upon the findings of our Tech Nation report, members of the Tech City UK team and representatives from digital startups including Blaze, Mondo TV, Grabble and Code First: Girls, provided Ms Cooper with insights on how policymakers can continue to support the growth of the digital ecosystem.
Cooper was particularly interested in digital skills and how we can ensure more women are represented in the tech sector. The discussion is part of our ongoing mission to ensure policymakers at the top tier of government from across the political spectrum here the needs and wants of the digital businesses powering the UK’s growing digital economy.
